Psia was built to accompany you in the quietest, most personal moments of your day, so we take your privacy seriously. This page explains, in plain language, what data is collected when you use the app and the getpsia.app website, what it's used for, and how to delete it.

Our guiding principle is simple: we collect only what's needed for the app to work for you, and nothing more.

Account details. When you sign up, we store your email address, your name (if you choose to provide it), and an account identifier, so you can sign in and find your data on any device.

Your personal progress. Your commitments (kabbalot), Tehillim reading progress, personal chapters, daily streak, and the preferences you've set (such as your name and city for daily times). Data is stored on your device and synced to your account, so it's waiting for you wherever you are.

Chat messages. The chat companion is an AI. To generate a reply, messages sent to the companion chat pass through Psia's server and are securely processed by an external language-model provider — Anthropic (the maker of Claude), which receives them only to produce the answer. The app language is sent with each message. From the chat, so are the earlier messages in the conversation and the form of address for answers (masculine or feminine); from a reading screen, so is the name of the passage. The app asks for your consent before the first message is sent, and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings. Your conversation history is kept only on your device: we do not store message content on our servers. We only keep a daily count of messages, used for the daily usage limit.

Subscription data. Your subscription and trial are managed through the app stores (App Store / Google Play). Your payment details stay with the store only. They never reach us. Subscription status is managed with the stores through RevenueCat, which receives only an account identifier and subscription state.

Crash reports. If something goes wrong, a technical report is sent to us (via Sentry) so we can find and fix the problem. It does not include your personal content.

What a post contains. A post in the Inspiration feed includes the story you wrote, your kabbalah (its name, and its number of days if you set one), the category you chose, and whether the kabbalah has come true. Posts are shown only inside the app and only after signing in, with your first name or anonymously, as you choose. An anonymous post never shows which account wrote it. Many of the posts in the feed are written by the Psia team, and they are marked as such.

Checked before it appears. Every post you publish is checked before it appears in the feed. First it goes through automatic checks against fixed rules (for example, that it has no phone number or link). A post that passes them is also checked by an AI model from Anthropic, which receives only the story, the kabbalah's name and the category, without the name shown on the post or any account details, and only for this check. The app asks for your consent before the first story is sent for this check, and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings. After that, a person on the Psia team reads the post, and it appears in the feed only once approved.

Reporting, blocking and hiding. From a post, you can report it or block the account that posted it. A Psia team post has no account behind it to block, so instead you can hide that post from your feed. A post reported by two different accounts is hidden until we review it. After a block, posts from that account no longer appear in your feed. The account that posted is not notified of a report or a block. Reports, blocks and the posts you hide are saved with your account, and you can undo your blocks and hides in Settings.

Deleting a post. You can delete a post at any time from My posts, and it leaves the feed right away. We keep it hidden in your account so the daily posting limit keeps working, and it is erased completely when you delete your account. We may also remove a post that does not follow the Terms of Use.

To run Psia, we rely on a small number of trusted external service providers, for secure storage and sync, chat message processing and feed post checks, subscription management, and error handling. Each provider receives access only to the information required for its role, and may not use it for any other purpose. A detailed list of providers is available on request at support@getpsia.app.

To understand how the app is used, improve it, and reach more people Psia could help, we may use third-party measurement and advertising tools (such as Google, Meta, and TikTok) on the website and in the app. These tools may collect technical identifiers and general usage data via cookies and similar technologies. Where required by law, such tools will only be used with your consent, and you'll be able to manage your preferences accordingly.

Inside the app we use two first-party measurement tools: PostHog (hosted in the EU) and Google Analytics for Firebase, with advertising identifiers switched off entirely. They run by default and record which screens are opened and which actions are taken — never the content of your messages, the stories you write, or your name and phone number. You can switch them off at any time in the app's settings.

PostHog also captures anonymised session recordings, used to find interface problems. Text fields, images, and any screen holding personal content — including the chat screen and the story composer — are fully masked in those recordings.

One thing we want to make clear: your personal content (your commitments, chat messages, and spiritual progress) is never used for advertising purposes.

We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone. We do not collect your location, contacts, or files from your device. And we show no ads inside the app.

Data is kept as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly from the app (Settings → Delete account). A full explanation is available on the account deletion page. Deletion is complete and irreversible.

All communication with our servers is encrypted (HTTPS), access to data is restricted to your account through strict authorization mechanisms, and access keys are kept server-side only.

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when new features are added. The current version will always appear on this page, along with the date of the last update.
